A structural change that involves trading (buying and selling) measures to reduce one’s individual carbon footprint at the local, regional, and global level. This would help communicate climate change better since everyone can be held to account for their carbon emissions.

When people feel directly how their actions are affecting them now (as in the case of Covid-19), there is tendency for them to adjust their lifestyle choices. The measures discuss above include, calculating & reporting carbon footprint, carbon emissions trading. During the sciathon, a framework for trading is created – basically dealing with the supervision of trading measures in unregulated systems, which hopefully will receive signatures from as many alumni as possible. The framework would be submitted for presentation at global conferences/meetings to promote worldwide adoption.
