Covid-19 pandemic has brought the attention to globalisation – a direct outcome of capitalism. It would be an important responsibility on the global academic community to come together and find solutions around the demerits of globalisation. ‘Responsible’ capitalism needs to take the place of capitalism as we know today. Now is the time for global academic communities to come together and collaborate across disciplines – science, commerce, and humanities. The capitalism after corona should actively work on checking rampant consumerism which not only has had a negative impact on every country on the planet but also on the ecosystems across the entire planet.
