AI for Tackling Gender Inequity in Medical Research

Artificial intelligence-based algorithm to study gender equity in medical research.

Gender inequities facing academic medical research continue to be a challenging issue globally with stark disparities observed in low- and middle-income countries. In one of our gender-focused bibliometric studies that reviewed oncology research from North African countries and aimed to developp policies, recommendations and actions for gender equity in this active research field, we manually analysed the selected literature for authors’ gender based on the available names in each country of data collection.
